Our Story
From a Burden to a Global Movement
NOW Ministries began when our founder witnessed the overwhelming spiritual need in Cuba. What started as a burden for one nation quickly became a vision for the nations. As God opened doors, partnerships formed and ministry expanded. Today, national pastors are being trained, churches are being planted, believers are being discipled, and communities are being transformed through the Gospel. What began as one step of obedience has grown into a global movement impacting lives for eternity.

Toru Marshall
Founder & President
As the Founder and President of NOW Ministries, Toru Marshall has dedicated over forty years to global evangelism and the advancement of the Great Commission. Driven by a profound burden for the spiritual needs of the nations, Toru works tirelessly to fulfill the mission of getting the Gospel to the entire world by empowering those best positioned to share it: national pastors. His role focuses on training, equipping, and supporting these local leaders as they reach their own people and plant sustainable churches. Together with his wife, Robin, Toru continues to bridge the gap between supporters and the front lines, ensuring every tribe and tongue has the opportunity to hear the life-changing message of Jesus Christ right now.
Robin Marshall
Co-Founder/Office Manager
Robin Marshall serves as the heart of operations for NOW Ministries, working alongside her husband Toru as Co-Founder and Office Manager. With a deep commitment to the Great Commission, she manages the essential administrative details that allow our global mission to flourish. Robin’s dedicated efforts ensure that our national pastors receive the consistent support they need to share the Gospel within their own communities. Her vital role in the office bridges the gap between our generous partners and the front lines of ministry, making the global reach of NOW Ministries possible through her steadfast service.
Adam Gibbs
General Director
As General Director of NOW Ministries, Adam Gibbs is dedicated to fulfilling the Great Commission by empowering those best equipped to reach their own communities: national pastors. Drawing on his years of experience as a missionary church planter, Adam now travels globally to train and support these local leaders, ensuring the Gospel reaches every corner of the world through the strategic multiplication of healthy churches. He invites you to join him in this urgent work of investing in faithful believers who will lead their nations to Christ.
Bethany Gibbs
Executive Assistant/Ladies Ministries cO-ORDINATOR
Bethany plays a dual role at NOW Ministries, serving as Executive Assistant and spearheading our Ladies Ministries with a heart for global sisterhood. Her primary focus is the spiritual development and encouragement of national pastors’ wives, providing them with the resources and biblical mentorship needed to thrive alongside their husbands in the field. By strengthening these women, Bethany assists in building healthy, resilient ministry families that can effectively reach their communities for Christ. She remains a vital link for our supporters, ensuring the needs of these faithful women are met with clarity and compassion.
Vickie Correl
Communications officer
Vickie serves as a vital link between the field and our partners by overseeing the distribution of essential ministry updates from national pastors. With a heart for the mission, she diligently manages the records and data from these reports, ensuring that every story of transformation is captured and shared. Her careful oversight allows our supporters to stay connected to the real-time impact of their prayers and gifts, keeping the global body of Christ informed and encouraged as the Gospel advances.
What We Believe
Statement of Faith

The Scriptures – We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and preserved Word of God, our final authority for faith and practice.

God – We believe in one true God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ – We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, born of a virgin, fully God and fully man, who lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, ascended into heaven, and will personally return.

The Holy Spirit – We believe the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, regenerates, indwells, seals, guides, and empowers every believer.

Satan – We believe Satan is a real being who opposes God and His people and will ultimately be judged by God.

Creation – We believe God created the heavens and the earth in six literal 24-hour days, and mankind was created in His image.

The Fall of Man – We believe all people are sinners by nature and choice and are separated from God apart from Christ.

The Virgin Birth – We believe Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.

Salvation – We believe salvation is by God’s grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ alone, based on His substitutionary death and bodily resurrection.

The New Birth – We believe every believer is born again through the work of the Holy Spirit and becomes a new creation in Christ.

Justification – We believe believers are declared righteous before God solely through faith in Jesus Christ.

Repentance and Faith – We believe salvation is received through genuine repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Church – We believe the local church is God’s ordained institution for worship, discipleship, fellowship, evangelism, baptism, and the Lord’s Supper.

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper – We believe believer’s baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper are the two ordinances given to the local church.

Eternal Security – We believe all who are truly saved are kept by God’s power and will persevere in the faith.

Heaven and Hell – We believe those who trust Christ will enjoy eternal life with Him, while those who reject Him will face eternal conscious judgment.

Spiritual Gifts – We believe God equips believers with spiritual gifts for the edification of the church and that the sign gifts ceased with the completion of Scripture.

Christian Living – We believe believers are called to holy living and separation from sin and false doctrine.

Civil Government – We believe civil government is ordained by God and should be honored and obeyed unless it requires disobedience to God.

Missions – We believe Christ has commanded every local church to proclaim the Gospel and make disciples of all nations.

Stewardship – We believe Christians are called to faithfully and generously support the work of the Lord through biblical giving.

The Return of Christ – We believe in the imminent, personal, pretribulational return of Jesus Christ, His millennial reign, and the future resurrection of all people.

The Eternal State – We believe the saved will spend eternity with the Lord, and the unsaved will experience everlasting conscious punishment.
